Who am I? Thrilla is an up and coming u.k hip hop/ rap artist, singer/ songwriter and music producer, born and raised in West London. After making his debut release in the u.k hip hop underground scene, Thrilla has currently dropped numerous mix tapes like “ Beyond Poetry” “ Lost Tapes” and his latest mix tape “ Kill or be Killed”. Most of his mixed tapes have featured up to 19 tracks or more. His music has already circulated around and he is currently working on new projects and craft while you read.
His Style: Thrilla has always brought up deep content within his music, touching on topics from just about anything. He has always bought lyrical and creative writing skills to the table along with catchy hooks. And fierce verses. He’s clearly telling you, he has a problem that’s not going away. He has mastered ways to switch up his writing skills so whether it's wordplay, metaphors or more your looking for, he’s got it covered.
Growing up into the man I’ve become: Thrilla grew up under care and guidance from his mum, a single parent at the time, who is, and still will be, a great role model in his life. She truly is an inspirational strong woman who will forever be remembered for what she has done. He grew up without his father which he reflects on in his music, along with his two sisters and younger brother.
Meeting the right people: I am very fortunate to have met a lot of inspirational people along my journey, who have helped me excessively every step of the way. These people have always taught me to be true to myself to enable me to achieve, and believe in my self no matter what. I love to be around people with a passion. I consider my music to be “art” . A way of expression with words.
Who I represent: I am and always will be about the people no matter what race or colour. I am not an object of material things. I mean we all want to live the good life but working hard and staying true to yourself is a start. When I say the people, I mean a revolution. Everyone being treated equally. Being able to live life and accept each other for who we are no matter our beliefs or way of living. I believe being able to speak freely expressing yourself whatever form it may be, is important. Hip hop music to me has always been a form of art and expression, down to its culture in fashion, graf, comedy, music, etc and should not be judged nor criticised by its appearance nor suppressed by its outcomes. This may well be over the years, prior to people who don’t fully understand the true value of hip hop music and choose to degrade it as music by their actions.
Hip hop is a way out, hip hop was made to give people a chance to escape their struggles from everyday life by experiencing what they everyday life has to give. This was done by poems, rhymes, etc. It's a chance and way out, away from whatever struggle you have overcome.

In his own words “I love to be around people who have a distinct creativity to them, whether it's making music, writing songs, art, body art or whatever, anyway to express yourself, making your feelings and emotions come alive and reach out to people. It's great. Having people who can relate to you is an incredible feeling. The power of your mind truly is amazing when you think about it. Remember it only takes one idea.
